Discover Your CEFR Level

The CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is like your personal roadmap for learning a new language.

It breaks the journey into clear levels — from A1 Beginner to C2 Proficient — so you always know where you stand and what you’ll master next.

At Fluente Academy, we follow the CEFR system to make sure your progress is smooth, structured, and globally recognised. Whether you’re just starting out or ready to level up, CEFR helps you grow confidently, one step at a time.

📘 Understanding Your Level: CEFR & IB Curriculum Guide

CEFR Levels Full Form:

A1 – Beginner
This is the most basic level where learners can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at satisfying concrete needs.
At this level, learners can introduce themselves and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details like where they live, people they know, and things they have.
A2 – Elementary
At this level, learners can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g., personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
Learners can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar topics and activities.
B1 – Intermediate
Learners at this level can understand texts that consist mainly of high frequency everyday or job-related language. They can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
They can describe experiences, events, dreams, hopes, and ambitions, and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
B2 – Upper Intermediate
At the B2 level, learners can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization.
Learners can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
