Our IB PYP Spanish course is designed for young learners who deserve more than rote memorisation and repetitive drills. We align strictly with the official IB framework, which means your child does not just learn Spanish. They develop international mindedness, genuine curiosity, and the confidence to express themselves in a second language from an early age.
Every session is high-energy, inquiry-driven, and built around the way children actually learn, through stories, play, conversation, and real-world connection.

Course Features
Here’s what you will learn.
Say hello, introduce themselves, and engage with basic Spanish in a confident and joyful way.
Create and present a personalised “Hello World” poster in Spanish with colours, numbers, and their name.
Module 1 is all about falling in love with Spanish. There are no pressure moments here, only songs, games, and the thrill of saying something in a brand new language and being understood. By the end of this module, your child will be excited to come back for more.
Talk about themselves and their family in Spanish with warmth and confidence.
Create a Spanish family portrait presentation and introduce each family member to the group.
Module 2 makes Spanish personal. Children learn fastest when the language connects to their own world, and this module puts them and their families at the centre of every lesson. It also links directly to the IB transdisciplinary theme “Who We Are,” reinforcing what they are already exploring in school.
Describe their environment and the world around them confidently in Spanish.
A show-and-tell session in Spanish where each child presents their favourite animal or place in the world.
Module 3 opens the world up. Children will explore vocabulary that connects them to nature, animals, and the planet, all through the lens of curiosity and inquiry. Every lesson feels like an adventure, and by the end of this module, Spanish is the language they use to explore the world.
Describe their daily routine and schedule clearly and naturally in Spanish.
Present a full day in their life as a Spanish news reporter, from morning to bedtime.
Module 4 brings Spanish into the everyday. Children will practise the language of their own lives, which means they can use what they learn in class the very same evening at home. Parents will start hearing Spanish at the dinner table, and that is exactly the point.
Express their thoughts, experiences, and cultural curiosity in Spanish.
Create and deliver a short Spanish presentation on a Spanish-speaking country of their choice.
Module 5 is where international mindedness truly comes alive. Children will explore the richness and diversity of the Spanish-speaking world, from Spain to Mexico to Argentina, and begin to see themselves as global citizens. This module builds not just language but empathy, curiosity, and a genuine love of other cultures.

A live Spanish showcase where each child presents something they are proud of, a story, a song, a project, or a speech, to the group and their parents.
Module 6 is a celebration. Your child will take everything they have learned and bring it to life in front of the people who matter most. It is not a test. It is a performance, a moment of pride, and a reminder that with the right environment, every child can learn a language and love doing it.
